Darien Historical Society Events for Children | |||

Heritage and Holiday Happenings for Children will come alive through the Darien Historical Society's monthly After-School Programs for Children throughout this fall. Designed to both educate an entertain, each program is open to youths aged 7 and older and their parents (if they choose.) Programs will take place at the Bates-Scofield House, 45 Old Kings Highway North, unless otherwise noted. Advance registration for all programs is necessary. FAMILY HARVEST FESTIVALSaturday, October 6th, 2007 -- 12 noon to 3 p.m. An end of the summer festival with activities for all. We will judge the best of your home grown veggies, teach harvest related crafts, enjoy Colonial food and host a scarecrow-making workshop in the front yard of the Bates-Scofield house. Reservations and guidelines for scarecrow workshop are available. Free of charge. |
